About

We are Worcester Woodland Explorers - a popular and well-respected Woodland Business, set in a beautiful and magical forest clearing. We welcome parents and children of all ages to come and explore our natural surroundings, immerse themselves in nature and take part in a huge range of forest-based activities. We are happy for all aged children to visit our woods, but especially from 12-months+ who are just starting to walk and explore the world around them. And, to always be accompanied by an adult for the whole session.

We have a huge passion for the Great Outdoors and believe there is no greater place to explore, make new friends, connect with nature, and learn new skills.

We offer weekly ‘Term Time Stay and Play’ sessions, lasting 1 hour 15 minutes and these are full of woodland opportunities such as den building, bug hunts, nature trails, natural crafts, fire building skills and campfire cooking.

We like to plan around themes, so that there are new opportunities each week, but also encourage children to follow their own interests and ideas too. We have woodland swings, rope ladders and hammocks to relax in and each session finishes with time in Basecamp to listen to a story, sing songs or talk about a favourite part of session, whilst enjoying hot chocolate, squash and biscuits!

We feel privileged to be able to get to know our families well each week and see children having fun and growing and developing in confidence.

Throughout the year, we will be running holiday family sessions and Birthday Parties and we are keen to offer our woodland space for clubs, nurseries, pre-schools and school trips.

Who we are!

Sarah.jpg

Hi, I’m Sarah and to be part of Worcester Woodland Explorers is one of the most exciting opportunities my career has given me so far.

I’ve been working in Early Years for 24 years and I’m NNEB trained.  I have run a Woodland activity group for the past 12 months.

I also have my own Music group called Shake Rattle and Groove, which I setup in 2006.

I have three children called Lewis, Oliver and George. As a family we are all very active, I love gardening and walking our two dogs called Bobby and Crunchie.

Hi, I'm Rachael and I am so excited to be one half of Worcester Woodland Explorers!

I have been a Primary School teacher for the past 16 years in Worcestershire. I have also been Outdoor Leader and am Forest School trained and just love being outdoors!

I have recently passed my 2 day paediatric first aid course.

I have 2 children of my own, Sam and Izzy, and we love nothing better than going on seaside holidays, days out in forests or at National Trusts, playing in parks and going swimming!
